The authority which has taken the initiative with respect to the temporary\u00a0derogation shall notify such derogations to the Secretariat of the United Nations Economic\u00a0Commission for Europe which shall bring them to the attention of the Contracting Parties1.<\/p>\n<p><em>NOTE: &#8220;Special arrangement&#8221; in accordance with 1.7.4 is not considered to be a temporary\u00a0derogation in accordance with this section.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.5.1.2<\/strong><br \>\nThe period of validity of the temporary derogation shall not be more than five years from the date of\u00a0its entry into force.
